WHITE POTTERY OVAL JELLY MOULD

Last Price: AU $20.00
Ending Date and Time (GMT): 2004-11-21 00:14:00
This is a smart white pottery jelly mould – age unknown but possibly from 1930's or earlier. It has no maker’s markings and is in good condition apart from some crazing and a mark along the outside rim which can be seen in the photograph. It is 13 cm high and the oval measures 18 x 13 cm. It has a pretty pattern for a jelly and would look lovely on a country dresser. Thank you for coming to my site. Please have a look at my other auctions and do email me with any questions you may have before the auction.

VINTAGE ANTIQUE VASE URN POTTERY PORCELAIN WHITE NICE

Last Price: AU $9.99
Ending Date and Time (GMT): 2004-11-19 03:54:46
Up for Auction is this lovely cream white (creamy) vase or urn. It has 2 ornate handles either side. Top of vase has leaves and berries border (like olive leaves). Naked people on either side with what appear to be flowing veils or robes in their hands. Trees on either side of each group of people (6 people in all). Lovely border underneath the people. Neck of base has lovely pattern with drapes, or robes, or ribbons looping around the bottom. Another border of dots underneath. Height of vase: 10 cm. high (4"). Base width is 7 & 1/4 cm wide (2 & 3/4" wide). Opening of mouth of vase or top of vase is 6 & 1/2 cm wide (2 & 3/4" wide). No chips or cracks. There are a couple of tiny minor little pin prick hole or marks but these were done during manufacture and are not chips as the white / creamy colour glaze has gone over the top of them. Inside of vase in bottom 1/4 has been well used and has some crazing and discolouring - however I think you may be able to bleach this discolouring out. I have left this for the new owner. This came from an elderly lady's estate and I can not tell you the exact age. It would have to be at least from around the 1900 - 1930's. I am no expert in these sorts of things and this would only be an estimate. No makers name. I don't know what it is made from whether it be porcelain, pottery, china or what it is. It is some sort of clay type substance so I would guess pottery, yet when I tap it with the back of my fingernails it rings somewhat. Please e-mail all questions. Please view my Auction site for other Vintage items.
