This lovely bowl is approximately 18cm wide x 7cm high.
It is of yellow colour on the inside and a yellow/green colour on the
outside displaying fruit. It stands on 3 legs.
It is marked on the back GENUINE STAFFORDSHIRE HAND PAINTED SHORTER &
SON LTD. ENGLAND.
It appears to be in good condition with no cracks, chips or repairs.

Burleigh Ware Athlone Trio - Hand Painted

On offer here is a Burleigh Ware Athlone Trio, which bears a hand
painted floral motif. Burleigh Ware was manufactured by Burgess and
Leigh at their Middleport Pottery in Burslem, Staffordshire. This
magical trio bears the green stamped under glaze maker’s mark of the
style that was introduced in the 1930’s. The side plate has a
diameter of 18 cm (7.25â€) and when the trio is together it stands
7.5 cm (3â€) tall. It is in excellent condition, there are no chips,
cracks, repairs or stains. There is no wear to the floral motif, but
there is a HINT of wear to the green rim strip on the cup and it is
lightly crazed. This is an awesome piece of hand painted dinner wear
from one of the giants of the Art Deco movement. Please note I am only
offering 1 plate here, but check out my other listings as this is part

This cake or biscuit plate would be approx. 40yrs.old. ( I think I`ve had
it that long) Stamp on back says BOUQUET, Genuine Staffordshire, Hand
painted, Shorter & Son Ltd., ENGLAND. Has chip on side edge approx.
10mmx8mm, which has been glued back in but is noticable, also some
crasing. Colour is yellow round edge going to orange in centre, has
burgundy coloured flower at one end and yellow and blue flower at
other end [IMAGE]
