ROYAL DOULTON COACHING DAYS CUP SAUCER & PLATE TRIO
The last of these delightful Royal Doulton, coaching days trios with
green trim presently up for auction.The pattern # is E3804. Designed
by Victor Venner, it was introduced in 1905 and withdrawn in 1955. The
saucer has the impressed potting date for 1926 and the plate has the
impressed date for 1923. The cup has a red door to the coach while the
plate & saucer have a yellow coach door. The patterns are different.
The cup has the highway robbers chasing a coach at full gallop, the
plate & saucer have the coach going uphill with the attendants
walking.
CONDITION: Some minor surface marks from 'best use," fine glaze
crazing to the cup, a couple of pin head sized glaze flakes to the
saucer that I have photographed and a small flea bite to the
underneath plate stand rim that I think happened in the making and
which can be seen in the fourth photo. These imperfections are of no
real consequence but mentioned for accuracy of description. There are
no chips, cracks or repairs, the green trim on the plate & saucer is
in good order and they have a nice bell tone ring when tapped.
MEASUREMENTS: The cup is 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) high by 3 inches (7.6 cm)
diameter at the top excluding the handle, the saucer is 5 1/2 inches
(14 cm) diameter and the plate is 6 inches (15 cm) square.
SHIPPING: Postage within Australia is AUD$6.00 - $10.20 depending on
post code. Economy air to the US, Canada & UK is US$13.70.

Delivery
I ship as soon as possible after payment is received subject of course
to public holidays and weekends when our Post Offices are closed.
