woods, TaylorMade's new R580 fairway woods deliver the highest COR and
MOI of any fairway wood TaylorMade has ever created.
Key to the performance breakthroughs of the R580 fairway woods is the
All Titanium construction and "Pull Face" technology employed (the
same used in the R500 series of drivers), which permits thin yet
strong walls for increased size; the largest ever for a TaylorMade
fairway wood, and superior Swingweighting. There's also a sleek sole
design that works in a wide variety of lie conditions.
That's not all. The M.A.S.2, 60 gram shaft contributes to the club's
light overall weight, resulting in faster swing speed and greater
distance. And the Tuned Weight Cartridge, the same used in the R500
series drivers, allows for extremely precise swingweighting. Bottom
Line: The clubhead and shaft of the R580 fairway woods were designed
to work in collaboration to produce both high launch angle and high
spin.
