Thunderbirds Konami Pod Vehicles Vol 2 Firefly

This auction is for a brand new Firefly diorama from the hit Gerry
Anderson TV series Thunderbirds. Along with the Mole and Thunderbird
4, the Firefly is one of International Rescue's primary pod vehicles
and the principal fire-fighting machine in the fleet. It was first
featured in the third episode "City of Fire." Displayed hard at work,
the Firefly vehicle is removable from the scene and the Cahelium
Extract X heat-resistant shield is posable. The diorama is around 9cm
(4") in length and is made of painted die-cast resin.
The high quality and attention to detail of these toys has to be seen
to be believed. I was astonished when I first saw them in Japan back
in 2002.
These were only ever released in Japan and available for a short
period of time so they are extremely rare.
This is from the discontinued second series of the Pod Vehicles
(Volume 2) that Konami released in 2003.
Out of the seven (7) possible toys, there was only a 5% chance (1 in
20) of getting the Firefly diorama.
Of all the Konami Thunderbirds Pod Vehicles Vol 2 models, the Firefly
and Excavator dioramas are the hardest to find and the most sought
after by far. You would be lucky to see one of these come up on eBay
anywhere in the world more than a few times a year.
Highly collectable, these have already appreciated in value and are
bound to do so even more in the coming years.

* A brand new one in the factory sealed plastic bag - the one in the
photo is from my personal collection
* Original box - not flat-packed like some other sellers
* Instructions - only minimal assembly is required
The box has only been opened to verify the contents as they were a
surprise candy toy and you never knew which one you were going to get.

minimise possible damage during transit.

A Note To Other Sellers:
I spend a great deal of time setting up the photos I've taken and
writing the descriptions for my auctions. Unfortunately there have
been several instances recently where sellers have used my material in
their own listings.
